The Toyota Blog

Just down the road from my parents lives a Toyota dealer; Paul.
He often comes home with one of the company cars and every evening my sister and I would walk down the street, just to see which car he brought home this time. Sometimes he would have a new car and he'll take us for a quick spin in it. 

One evening, about 15 years ago, there was a Corolla in their driveway. I can't remember the model or anything, but I know that the car was still new and that it was a Corolla. a Metallic green one. 
My sister and I were both extremely excited to go for a drive, but Paul wasn't home. His eldest son was though. He had just turned 17 at the time. And being a boy, and eager to drive, he offered to take us around the block.

BIG mistake!!

I'm not sure what happened, or exactly how it happened, but he drove right through one of the neighbour's walls.
My sister and I got such a big fright that we ran home and left him alone on the accident scene.
We later had to go back to act as witnesses though. 

To this day I'm not sure what happened to the son, but neighbours talk and apparently he got a HUGE beating. They could hear him scream 5 houses away! 

I saw the son the other day while I was visiting my parents.
Obviously the accident never put him off, he drives that same metallic green Toyota Corolla :)
